What this policy covers
This policy explains how Blockwork handles personal information when you use our website and applications. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or complaints, contact hello@blockworkapp.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity before responding to an account-related request.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide through accounts, profiles, campaign briefs, pitches, bookings, messages, uploads, support requests, and payment or payout setup. Depending on the feature, this includes contact details, business information, social handles, work preferences, addresses, availability, content, and transaction records. We also process technical information such as IP addresses, device and session information, and diagnostic events.
How we use information
We use this information to operate accounts, match brands and creators, manage campaigns and payments, deliver messages, provide support, prevent misuse, investigate errors, and meet legal obligations. Location information supports discovery, scheduling, and shipping. Where a feature requests device location permission, you can control that permission through your browser or device.
Who can see it
Information you choose to publish in a profile or public campaign may be visible to other users or visitors. Booking participants and authorized organization members can access the information needed for their work, such as messages, deliverables, schedules, and shipping details. Consider the intended audience before publishing or uploading material.
Service providers and integrations
We use providers for hosting and storage, payment processing, email, SMS, maps, diagnostics, and AI assistance. These include Stripe, Mailgun, Twilio, and providers used by the features you choose. Optional AI features send relevant inputs and context to the configured AI provider to generate a response. Connected services receive information needed for the integration you authorize. Providers may process information outside your province or country, where local laws may allow authorities to access it.
Storage, security, and retention
We use access controls and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information as needed to provide the service, handle transactions and disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Account closure may remove or anonymize information while preserving necessary business records; backups and retention processes may take additional time.
Your choices
You can edit available account information and notification preferences in settings, disconnect supported integrations, and request account deletion. Contact us to request access to or correction of personal information, or to discuss withdrawing consent. Withdrawal may limit features that need the information, but declining SMS does not prevent email sign-in. Browser and device controls let you manage stored site data and permissions. We use cookies or similar storage for sign-in, preferences, and service operation.
Policy updates
We will update this page when our privacy practices change. Where a new purpose requires consent, we will request it before relying on that consent. You can contact hello@blockworkapp.com to ask about this policy or a change to it.
Authentication text messages
This notice covers phone numbers and consent information used for Blockwork authentication texts.
We use the number you provide to send the authentication message you request and, after verification, to enable phone sign-in. We use Twilio to deliver these messages.
We record the time, consent disclosure version, authentication purpose, request identifier, and a masked number with a keyed fingerprint as evidence of your consent. These records are used for security and messaging compliance; they are not marketing subscriptions.
We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers process the information needed to deliver and protect the messaging service.
You can stop texts by replying STOP and continue using email sign-in. Opting out stops messages; it does not itself delete your account or its security records.
