For businesses
What does it cost?
Posting is free and there are no fees for businesses. You pay exactly the price you agree with the creator, from $75 per creator.
When am I charged?
When the shoot date locks: agreed in chat, or the creator approves the date you proposed. Blockwork holds the money until you approve the work.
Who owns the content?
Your business does, once payment for the booking completes. The creator can show the work in their portfolio only if you allow it.
What if a creator doesn't show up or is late?
If the creator doesn't show up or cancels late, you're refunded in full. If they're more than 48 hours late delivering with no message, you can cancel for a full refund. Cancel 48 hours or more before the shoot and you pay nothing, with one free reschedule.
What if I don't like the work?
You have 5 days after delivery to approve it or ask for changes. Anything that misses the brief is fixed at no cost, and if it still isn't fixed you're refunded in full.
How are creators vetted?
Creators earn a Verified badge once Blockwork has checked their Instagram and their profile has a headshot and work you can look at. When you post, you can take applications from Verified creators only.
For creators
When do I get paid?
Once the business approves your work, or automatically if they don't reply within 5 days of delivery. Your payout is then released, normally after a seven-day buffer.
What does Blockwork keep?
15% of the first $100 of the price, 11% from $100 to $300, 9% from $300 to $600 and 8% above that, plus a flat $2 payout fee. You see your exact payout before you apply.
How do I get Verified?
Add your Instagram, a headshot and at least one piece of work to your profile, then ask for the Instagram check from your profile. Some businesses take Verified creators only.
